Hot Summer 2010 - 112 Degrees - Baltimore, MD
July 23rd, 2010Today is Friday July 23, 2010 and after a really hot week (upper 90's all week) driving through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel on the way back from the BWI Airport I looked up and saw 112 on my Jeep's outside temperature gauge. Wow, 112, my daughter took the picture as we have never seen the temp guage go that high before. My nephew Justin and his girlfriend Erin where up from Florida for the week and commented that it is HOT AS HELL here in Baltimore! Well, here is the proof as outside temperatures where around 99 degrees today, inside the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (895) it was 112 this was around 7PM. Anyway, thought I would share these record breaking temps with the net. Do I like it? Love it!
Baltimore Blizzard 2010 February 9th & 10th
February 10th, 2010Our second blizzard and snowiest winter this year breaks our record snow fall in Baltimore, MD which was previously 62.5 inches in Baltimore in 1995-96, and 54.4 inches in Washington in 1898-99. As of Wednesday afternoon, Baltimore had 72.3 inches so far this winter which beaks the all time snowiest winter record. Blizzard video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VcPEjdLZtM
Snowmans NOT, we are talking Igloos, we have so much snow you can tunnel your way all around your yard how cool is that? The only problem is shoveling out your vehicles, we have had back to back blizzards with over 2 feet each within one week and let me tell you shoveling isn't just shovel and throw, it's more like shovel and carry, then throw, because there is nowhere to throw it, so you have to carrry it to a new pile. Pretty crazy weather but hey, love driving in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCbM9Ov6oQ8

We also went over to the local school where I tought my daughter how to do doughnuts in the snow (in our Jeep Cherokee), that was fun!!! Here is a short video of driving in the snow (only 8 inches at this time)

Hon Fest 2009
June 15th, 2009Hey Hon, break out your big sunglasses, whip up your beehive hair-do and join the fun at the 2009 Baltimore Hon Fest which was this past weekend. Why am I telling you about it after it happened? So you can put it on your calendar for next year. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Honfest started as a modest pageant that was a tribute to all of those industrious women who use the word “hon” in conversation. These women happened to favor beehive hair-dos, ’60s-style clothing with lots of leopard print, pedal pushers, poodle skirts and stripes, and they thought nothing of combining spandex with bright blue eye shadow.
