Fireflies have returned to the bump house which means summer is officially here!  After weeks of cool rainy weather summer has finally arrived at the bump house.  How do I know?  I just need to look outside in the bump yard on a hot summer night for the glow lights of these cool bugs flying around.  Seems there are more lightning bugs this year than recent years past or maybe I just never blogged about them.

When I was a kid we used to chase them down and collect them in glass jars, add a lid with holes punched in them and use them as a night light in our bedrooms at night.  Now I just sit on my back pourch and watch them float and flutter around in the dark of night.   The simple things in life always seem to amaze me. 

Mr Bump.

I got this little creature off a tree in my yard a few years ago and boy do I miss them.  It was about 5 years ago (2004) when we were last attacked and I have to tell you I liked it.  I think they are so cool, the Cicada's awaken every 17 years and cause havic everywhere.  I remember my daughter was playing softball that year and cicadas where everywhere on the field flying by the hundreds from first base to third base and then home plate.  Even at practice the girls where picking them out of their hair.  Ewww, gross, the girls screamed,  no I say ewww cool!   How cool is it that every 17 years a monster looking insect by the millions awakes to cause havic all over.  I can't wait for 2021 Cicadas to arrive.

I wonder if I could sell this Cicada on eBay???  Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
